Job Description:

309A Service Electrician

We're looking for an experienced 309A Service Electrician to join a growing mechanical services team supporting commercial, industrial, and multi-residential clients across the GTA.

This is a full-time, year-round role focused on:

  • Service
  • Repair
  • Troubleshooting
  • Emergency response
  • Electrical upgrades

No seasonal layoffs.

You'll work across a wide variety of environments and systems, handling both scheduled service work and urgent after-hours calls.

This role is ideal for a licensed electrician who:

  • Is confident troubleshooting independently in the field
  • Can manage service work without constant oversight
  • Communicates professionally with clients, tenants, and internal teams

You'll be supported by dispatch, leadership, and a collaborative service team that includes electricians, plumbers, and HVAC professionals.

Participation in an on-call rotation and after-hours emergency service is required, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

What You'll Do

  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems across commercial, industrial, and multi-residential properties
  • Respond to service calls ranging from lighting/device issues to major power failures, panels, transformers, and switchgear
  • Restore power and safely return building systems online following outages or failures
  • Repair and replace panels, breakers, disconnects, distribution equipment, and related electrical components
  • Perform service upgrades, retrofits, panel replacements, and modernization work in occupied buildings
  • Complete lighting upgrades and LED retrofits, including exterior and signage systems
  • Troubleshoot and repair parking lot lighting, exterior electrical systems, and signage systems
  • Support renovation and suite upgrade projects, including fuse-to-breaker conversions and electrical upgrades
  • Work safely in older buildings, electrical rooms, mechanical spaces, and active service environments
  • Collaborate with electricians, HVAC technicians, plumbers, dispatch, and office teams
  • Participate in an on-call rotation (approximately 1 week every 3–4 weeks initially)
  • Maintain professional communication with clients, tenants, suppliers, and internal teams

What You Bring

  • Valid 309A Electrician License
  • Valid G Driver's License with clean abstract
  • Minimum 5 years of commercial and/or multi-residential service experience
  • Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic abilities
  • Ability to independently manage service calls and job execution
  • Experience in service/repair environments rather than strictly new construction
  • Comfortable working in older buildings and challenging site conditions
  • Willingness to participate in after-hours emergency service and on-call rotation
  • Professional, reliable, customer-focused attitude
  • Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills

Why Join Us?

  • Competitive pay: $45–55/hour base
  • Overtime, on-call, and holiday premiums
  • Guaranteed year-round work — no seasonal layoffs
  • Company vehicle, gas card, uniform, and phone provided
  • Comprehensive health and dental benefits
  • Group retirement savings plan
  • Stable, growing company with a strong pipeline of service work
  • Supportive team environment with experienced leadership
  • Real autonomy in the field — trusted to do your job
