309A Service Electrician
We're looking for an experienced 309A Service Electrician to join a growing mechanical services team supporting commercial, industrial, and multi-residential clients across the GTA.
This is a full-time, year-round role focused on:
- Service
- Repair
- Troubleshooting
- Emergency response
- Electrical upgrades
No seasonal layoffs.
You'll work across a wide variety of environments and systems, handling both scheduled service work and urgent after-hours calls.
This role is ideal for a licensed electrician who:
- Is confident troubleshooting independently in the field
- Can manage service work without constant oversight
- Communicates professionally with clients, tenants, and internal teams
You'll be supported by dispatch, leadership, and a collaborative service team that includes electricians, plumbers, and HVAC professionals.
Participation in an on-call rotation and after-hours emergency service is required, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
What You'll Do
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems across commercial, industrial, and multi-residential properties
- Respond to service calls ranging from lighting/device issues to major power failures, panels, transformers, and switchgear
- Restore power and safely return building systems online following outages or failures
- Repair and replace panels, breakers, disconnects, distribution equipment, and related electrical components
- Perform service upgrades, retrofits, panel replacements, and modernization work in occupied buildings
- Complete lighting upgrades and LED retrofits, including exterior and signage systems
- Troubleshoot and repair parking lot lighting, exterior electrical systems, and signage systems
- Support renovation and suite upgrade projects, including fuse-to-breaker conversions and electrical upgrades
- Work safely in older buildings, electrical rooms, mechanical spaces, and active service environments
- Collaborate with electricians, HVAC technicians, plumbers, dispatch, and office teams
- Participate in an on-call rotation (approximately 1 week every 3–4 weeks initially)
- Maintain professional communication with clients, tenants, suppliers, and internal teams
What You Bring
- Valid 309A Electrician License
- Valid G Driver's License with clean abstract
- Minimum 5 years of commercial and/or multi-residential service experience
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic abilities
- Ability to independently manage service calls and job execution
- Experience in service/repair environments rather than strictly new construction
- Comfortable working in older buildings and challenging site conditions
- Willingness to participate in after-hours emergency service and on-call rotation
- Professional, reliable, customer-focused attitude
- Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
